Overview
Mia Bautista provides advisory services in matters related to government contracts and grants, including contract administration and compliance. Her expertise includes working with companies in industries such as international development, manufacturing, technology, pharmaceuticals/biotechnology, and not-for-profit. She has experience managing grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts with parties including the US government, bilateral and multilateral donors, and foundations. She has supported the full lifecycle of project development through execution.
Ms. Bautista has experience in operationalizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), 2 CFR 200, and other federal government regulations into policies and procedures; developing compliance programs and training; and optimizing organizational structures. She has consulted on business system reviews and efforts to remediate compliance gaps.
Ms. Bautista also has experience assisting clients with voluntary disclosures, investigations, audit preparation, and litigation support. She has traveled to international field sites to conduct internal audit follow-up, operational reviews, desk audits, and compliance training.
Ms. Bautista has extensive knowledge of the international development community and the challenges in implementing and maintaining compliance programs for global operations while balancing operational needs of the field.
