Jeffrey Dunn provides business valuation and related financial advisory services to clients including companies, law firms, private equity and hedge funds, and parties to litigation. He advises clients on complying with financial reporting and taxation reporting requirements, supports expert testimony in disputes, and advises on strategic planning. He has participated in several of the most prominent cases to be tried in federal bankruptcy courts in recent years, including preparing a solvency report in the Lyondell bankruptcy and an analysis of market terms for replacement notes issued in Momentive. Mr. Dunn also provides recurring fixed-income portfolio valuation services for regulated financial institutions, including some of the largest publicly traded banks.
In addition to opinion-related work, Mr. Dunn provides valuation-related advisory services to companies and creditor groups. His analyses are used in connection with inter-creditor disputes, establish market rates of return for renegotiated debt instruments, and estimate market values for securities including common and preferred stock and their derivatives.
Before joining BRG, Mr. Dunn performed similar engagements as a managing director in the valuation practice at Capstone Advisory Group, LLC, having first joined in 2008. Before that, Mr. Dunn was a senior associate in the valuation practice at Trenwith Group, LLC, an affiliate company of BDO Seidman. He was responsible for performing purchase price allocations, definite and indefinite lived asset impairment tests, valuations of derivative instruments, and other fair-value engagements.
