Darrell McKigney has over twenty-five years of public policy experience and has worked on a range of healthcare policy and political issues. He previously advised some of the nation's preeminent private equity firms and other institutional healthcare investors as vice president of a strategic policy analysis and advisory firm. His advisory work included the full range of Medicare Part B physician payments; related Part A ambulatory surgery center and hospital outpatient payment polices and other public payer healthcare payment policies, such as Medicare clinical laboratory test payments, home health payments, and Medicare Part D prescription drug payments; and state Medicaid payment policies.

During the launch and implementation of the then-new Medicare Part D prescription drug program, Mr. McKigney served as executive director of the Long Term Care Pharmacy Alliance (LTCPA). LTCPA was the national industry trade association representing long-term care pharmacies that served over 90 percent of the nation’s 1.8 million nursing home and institutional residents via 1,800 pharmacies across the country.

Mr. McKigney also served in key policy positions for three members of Congress, including a member of the US House of Representatives Labor, Health & Human Services and Education Appropriations Subcommittee.
