Rick Knudson is an associate director in BRG’s Healthcare Performance Improvement practice specializing in pharmacy optimization.
Dr. Knudson has more than twenty years of experience in healthcare organizations, including integrated delivery networks (IDNs), community hospitals, academic medical centers, ambulatory pharmacy, and healthcare performance improvement organizations. His expertise includes developing and executing pharmacy strategy, implementing operational and clinical efficiencies, optimizing pharmaceutical cost and revenue equations, and developing “top of license” pharmacy practice models.
Before joining BRG, Dr. Knudson held a leadership position with one of the largest IDNs on the East Coast, as well as with one of the largest national member-driven healthcare organizations. He also has held Executive Committee and professional leadership roles with state and national professional organizations such as the American Society of Health System Pharmacy and the Iowa Pharmacy Association.
