Oliver Grawe has nearly thirty years of experience providing economic expertise in both litigation and non-litigation settings.

He previously spent fifteen years at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as an economist on the management team of the Bureau of Economics and as the economic advisor to two Bureau of Competition directors. During his tenure at the FTC, he reviewed more than 250 mergers and joint ventures in numerous industries, including aerospace, oil, petroleum products and refining, and pharmaceuticals. He also served as the FTC’s main expert in several key merger cases.

Dr. Grawe has provided economic expertise on matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and FTC.

Aside from his professional experience, Dr. Grawe has taught at Emory University’s Business School and at the United States Naval Academy, where he was the Admiral William Crowe Professor of Economics.

His work has also been featured in several leading industry publications, including the American Economic Review, the Review of Economics and Statistics, and the Journal of International Economics.
