Michael M. Sullivan

Managing Director

Michael Sullivan has substantial experience working with private equity investors and operators, often acting as the liaison between target management and the investment team, including other business advisors.

He has assisted clients in the evaluation of target operations, quality of earnings, working capital cyclicality, assessment of impacts to changes in business trends, identification of off-balance-sheet risks and opportunities, and various sell-side mandates.

Throughout his career, Mr. Sullivan has led successful financial diligence and performance improvement engagements for some of the largest private equity and family-owned business transactions in the country.

Before joining BRG, he was an operating partner for the Banyan Companies, a family office. Prior to that, he served as a partner in the Transaction Services practice for Grant Thornton and in EY’s Transaction Advisory Services practice. Earlier in his career, he was the chief financial officer for Pilot Group, a middle-market private equity firm with $800 million in commitments.

He currently serves as a senior advisor to Bruce Lee Enterprises and the Banyan Companies. A Certified Public Accountant in New York, Mr. Sullivan received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boston College.
