John Anderson, PE, focuses on construction management, surety claims, scheduling, and quality of work.

He is a licensed professional civil engineer and contractor. He has worked in the engineering and construction industry for over twenty-five years and has twelve years of experience as a consultant and construction expert, having provided expert opinions and testimony regarding construction practices, cost valuation, delay analysis, terminations, and construction defects. He has performed investigations and analyses on a wide variety of structures, including bridges, commercial buildings, schools, residences, industrial, and marine structures. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.

Prior to his work as a consultant and expert, Mr. Anderson worked in the construction industry, holding various positions including project engineer, project manager, estimator, and project executive. He supervised and worked on a wide variety of building types, including bridges, marine, underground and overhead utility, schools, and high-rise commercial.

As a consultant, Mr. Anderson has extensive experience in the surety field, having performed investigations on over one hundred contractor default claims. He also has experience in the construction insurance industry, providing investigations and opinions on fire, wind, water, and earthquake damage to buildings, as well as claims relating to contractor’s general liability.
