Charles (Chas) Trunz is an associate director in BRG’s Financial Institutions Advisory practice, where he focuses on analyzing credit risk, market, enterprise, liquidity, and operational risk capital.
Most of his advisory focus has been in response to regulatory reviews of risk management framework elements. Over the past several years, Mr. Trunz has conducted gap assessments of required obligations based on products, services, geographies, and entities. Most recently, he assisted in developing stress-testing programs, forecasting resolution capital and liquidity requirements, performing asset-quality reviews, conducting asset pricing, and implementing sustainable credit-risk processes to satisfy regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Mr. Trunz has over fifteen years of experience in the credit markets, focusing on specialized, structured, and leveraged finance. Before joining BRG, he worked at a global financial services firm, where he was involved in the client solutions group, focusing on new and existing business in the firm’s risk practice. He worked closely with C-suite executives to develop strategies around efficiency and their response to regulatory actions. Mr. Trunz’s focus was relevant for both front office and compliance functions. In his last year with the firm, he ran the Transformation Solutions group and led a team of experts working with clients to implement new technologies and outsourcing capabilities to create efficiencies and cost savings.
