Austin Potter is a director in BRG’s Healthcare Performance Improvement practice and leads the Portfolio Optimization team. He has more than ten years of experience in hospital operations, finance, and strategic planning.

Since joining BRG, Mr. Potter has led several large health system implementations through referral network management and patient navigation hub builds, service line strategy and growth, portfolio evaluation of services, and regional health system integration. He serves as the direct client executive and engagement director for large health systems and leads the daily operations of the Portfolio Optimization team.

Before joining BRG, Mr. Potter was the director of Ambulatory Services at a regional health system in Connecticut. In this role, he oversaw the development of a robust ambulatory care network inclusive of ambulatory surgery, outpatient imaging, outpatient cardiology services, outpatient oncology and infusion services, urgent care, occupational health, outpatient therapy, sleep services, and wound care. Mr. Potter built his foundation in healthcare working in decision support and business intelligence, bringing years of expertise in health and data analytics. He also has served in roles in business development and strategic planning.
