Retailers are dealing with unprecedented challenges brought on by the COVID-19 crisis. Prolonged store closures have left year-round, seasonal, and one-time-offer product ‘trapped’ in stores, distribution centers (DCs), and in some cases at third-party providers incurring storage costs. Upstream disruptions (stops and restarts) have left product stranded with overseas vendors and partners in various stages, from greige goods to finished product.
