BRG Professionals Ranked among Leading Insurance and Reinsurance Experts in International Who’s Who Legal: Insurance & Reinsurance
Five experts from global strategic advisory and expert consulting firm Berkeley Research Group were ranked among the top insurance and reinsurance expert witnesses in the International Who’s Who Legal: Insurance & Reinsurance Experts 2016. The guide highlights leading individuals across the United States, England and Australia.
The publication recognized Joseph Anastasi as “fantastic.” Anastasi is based in the firm’s Emeryville office and has almost 40 years of experience analyzing financial damages for matters in litigation and forensic accounting, particularly related to insurance claims. Many of his assignments have led to expert testimony, and he has testified in over 60 matters as to financial damages and lost profits.
Robin Cantor, based in the firm’s Washington, DC, office, impresses with her over 30 years of “prestigious experience” in insurance claims analysis. Many of her projects involve science-based economic analysis used in litigation consulting, expert testimony, risk assessment and other advisory services.
Sydney-based Jonathan Humphrey is described as a “consummate expert,” having advised on insurance claims across sectors including the oil and gas, chemicals, financial services, professional services and manufacturing. Humphrey is the head of BRG’s Disputes and International Arbitration practice in Australia and Southeast Asia. He is regularly appointed as an expert in contentious matters and has provided oral evidence across the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and the Middle East.
Jeff Mitchell, based in the firm’s Emeryville office, was recognized as “terrific” on insurance and reinsurance matters relating to a wide variety of liability and first-party insurance claims. Mitchell has over 25 years of experience with complex insurance and reinsurance matters, and has rendered expert testimony and provided settlement advisory services in connection with such matters.
David Saunders, based in London, was highlighted as a “leading authority” on valuations and damages. He has over 20 years of experience as a forensic accountant undertaking financial investigations and being appointed as an expert accountant on over 75 occasions. He has given oral testimony on a number of occasions both in the UK courts and to arbitral tribunals around the world, including in London, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and New York.
