BRG announced that it was named as one of the top ten investigations consultancies in Global Investigations Review GIR 100 2018 guide.

GIR recognized BRG’s excellence as “a forward-thinking firm able to offer range of expertise and perspectives to its clients.” The Global Investigations + Strategic Intelligence (Global.i) practice, led by Managing Director Frank Holder, has been involved in high-profile investigations and business intelligence engagements, serving as trusted advisors to companies, financial institutions, private entities and law firms around the world.

The guide also highlights BRG’s Cyber Security and Investigations team, led by Managing Director Thomas Brown, and its involvement in “some of the most complex cyber cases, including the investigation and prosecution of hacktivist groups Anonymous and LulzSec.” The “specialized cybersecurity team” was noted for its success in recovering bitcoins “worth approximately US$200 million at the time.”

“We are delighted to be recognized among the top investigation firms globally,” said Holder, a Miami-based managing director who leads BRG’s Global.i and Latin America practices. “Our professionals are committed to providing clients with the information, knowledge and insight critical to making informed decisions and avoiding unnecessary risk.”

According to GIR, advising high-net-worth clients and managing high-profile investigations, the “names to know in Europe” are Managing Directors Brian Stapleton, Sarah Keeling and Ben Johnson.

Other BRG experts noted in the editorial profile are Managing Director and leader of BRG’s Asia–Pacific practice Stuart Witchell and Managing Director Jeffrey Cramer.

The GIR 100 is an annual guide to the world’s leading cross-border investigations practices. GIR selected 100 firms from around the world able to handle sophisticated cross-board government-led and internal investigations.
