Free Trade Pacts Under Attack

Ernesto Carrasco discusses recent discourse on free trade and its potential effect on investment outlook, as well as Mexico’s nomination of a consul general in Los Angeles to replace its ambassador to the United States. “Before the change in ambassador, I would have told you I think the Mexican government may be too relaxed, too confident,” said Mr. Carrasco. “I think it’s a clear message that we can’t be so relaxed… which may have been brought on by pressure from the Mexican business community.”
