BRG Expands Middle East Construction Team

Global consulting firm Berkeley Research Group (BRG) has expanded its Middle Eastern construction practice with the addition of five recent hires in Dubai, including four new quantum experts and one delay expert.

Michael Kenyon, a managing director who leads BRG’s Middle East construction practice, based in Dubai, said: “These hires will significantly expand our capabilities in the region and enable us to take on a greater number of projects. We have strong expertise in the region and are fortunate to add such a talented pool of individuals to our team.”

Stephen Dickie brings over 25 years of experience in quantity surveying, commercial management, contract administration and dispute resolution under various forms of contract. He has led commercial and claims teams and provided arbitration support on major international disputes. Dickie has worked on projects across the Middle East, as well as in Germany, South Africa and the UK.

Christian Merrett brings over 21 years of experience in construction engineering, construction management, contract administration and dispute resolution under various forms of contract. He has extensive experience working in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq and the United Kingdom.

Alex Burton has extensive experience in all aspects of change management, including the presentation and negotiation of contractor’s claims. He has been appointed as expert witness on quantum and quantity surveying matters in the Technology and Construction Court and in adjudication proceedings.

Kasia Halliday has a background spanning 15 years of working in large infrastructure and oil and gas projects in both the UAE and the United Kingdom, providing expertise in contract management services, claims management, contract support and contract administration. During her time in the UAE, she was involved in a number of high-profile dispute resolution commissions and arbitration proceedings, providing quantum consultant services at various stages of proceedings.

Malcolm Landman has 15 years of commercial management and construction advisory experience gained across the oil and gas, building, and civil engineering infrastructure sectors. He formerly worked as an internal audit manager.
