BRG Launches Women's Leadership Initiative
Berkeley Research Group announced today the launch of its Women’s Leadership Initiative, dedicated to attracting, retaining, and advancing the most talented women in the professional services industry. The initiative reflects BRG’s ongoing commitment to support its female professionals at all stages of their careers, providing them the opportunity to develop skills to maximize their impact on the marketplace and contribute to their own and BRG’s growth and development.
“Just as our clients’ diversity and female leadership have expanded, we also are focused on sustaining a positive and supportive career platform for BRG women professionals,” said BRG Chairman and Principal Executive Officer David J. Teece. “We recognize that an inclusive, talent-first culture significantly adds to the firm’s ability to excel.”
With programs focused on internal and external networking, leadership, and retention and advancement, the WLI promotes the development of talented women across practices, roles, and locations, fostering new and strengthened relationships with colleagues, clients, and other professional women.
“There is a real concern about the lack of female representation in our industry, and particularly representation in leadership positions,” said Managing Director Mary Karen Wills, co-chair of the WLI steering committee and head of the firm’s Government Contracts practice. “We have an opportunity—and responsibility—to empower our female colleagues and recruits by leveraging our collective efforts, experience, and networks.”
“BRG has the potential to lead the field in attracting, retaining, and advancing the industry’s most talented women,” said Managing Director Robin Cantor, Ph.D., WLI steering committee co-chair and president of the Women’s Council on the Energy and the Environment. “BRG is one of the fastest-growing firms in the professional services industry, and its nimble and entrepreneurial culture lends itself to adapting to a changing world.”
