BRG Capstone/BRG Ranked No. 2 in The Deal’s Q3 2015 List of Top Crisis Management Firms

BRG Capstone/Berkeley Research Group LLC was ranked second on the list of Top Crisis Management Firms, by volume, in The Deal’s bankruptcy league tables for Q3 2015. Managing Director Chris Kearns was ranked third in The Deal’s Q3 list of Top Crisis Management Professionals, and Peter Chadwick and Mark Shankweiler were ranked in the top 10.

The Deal’s bankruptcy league tables consider active U.S. bankruptcy cases with debtors having liabilities of $10 million or more. Rankings are based on the aggregation of those asset values. The Deal ranks the top investment banks, law firms, crisis management firms, and non-investment banks, as well as the respective professionals, by the volume of liabilities of bankruptcy deals advised for that quarter. During the third quarter of 2015, BRG advised on 38 active bankruptcy cases, with total liabilities of $811.4 billion. Mr. Kearns led 11 of those cases, with total liabilities of $106.9 billion. The Deal has consistently ranked Capstone Advisory Group, whose principals joined Berkeley Research Group to form BRG Capstone business unit on June 1, 2015, as one of the “Top Three” crisis management firms by volume every quarter since the second quarter of 2011 (18 consecutive quarterly rankings).
