BRG Capstone/Berkeley Research Group Ranked No. 3 on The Deal’s 2016 List of Top Crisis Management Firms

BRG Capstone/Berkeley Research Group LLC was ranked third on the list of Top Crisis Management Firms, by volume and number of cases, in The Deal’s bankruptcy league tables for 2016.

The Deal ranks the top investment banks, law firms, and crisis management firms. Effective Q4 2016, The Deal revised its criteria for the league table rankings. The Deal’s bankruptcy league tables now consider U.S. bankruptcy cases filed within the respective period, with debtors having liabilities of $25 million or more. Rankings are now on a cumulative year-to-date basis. Previously, the criteria considered active U.S. bankruptcies with liabilities of $10 million or more. The Deal no longer ranks crisis management professionals.

In 2016, BRG advised on 11 new bankruptcy cases with liabilities greater than $25 million, and aggregate liabilities totaling approximately $40.7 billion. The Deal has consistently ranked Capstone Advisory Group, whose principals joined BRG to form BRG Capstone business unit on June 1, 2015, as one of the “Top Three” crisis management firms, by volume, since the second quarter of 2011.
