BRG Appoints Eric Miller as Senior Vice President - Strategic Initiatives and Risk Management

August 13, 2015

Berkeley Research Group announced today that former FTI Consulting General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer Eric Miller has joined the firm’s legal department as Senior Vice President – Strategic Initiatives and Risk Management.

“Eric will be a valuable addition to the team, and his perspective, judgment, and experience will help us better support our rapidly growing and increasingly complex business,” said BRG Chairman and Principal Executive Officer David J. Teece.

Miller has spent his career working at professional services firms. He served as FTI’s general counsel from 2006 to 2015, at which time he returned to DLA Piper (where he had spent his entire career until joining FTI).

“BRG has experienced exceptional growth and success since its inception five years ago,” said Miller. “I am excited to join a firm that is run by and for professionals as it continues to expand its geographic reach and service lines.”

Miller’s initial focus will be on legal and risk management considerations related to BRG’s international expansion and licensed operations, including its investigations and broker-dealer businesses. He will work closely with the legal team on contractual risk management and professional liability matters, and to oversee insurance.

“We are delighted to have Eric bring his expertise to BRG as we continue to grow the company, particularly in regulated practices and internationally,” said Senior Vice President and General Counsel Marvin Tenenbaum. “His counsel, advice and insight will be invaluable to executive leadership and senior professionals across the organization.”
