Berkeley Research Group Hosts First Annual Forum and Gala in San Francisco

Event Will Feature a Highly Anticipated Panel on Legal, Business, and Policy Issues in the “New Normal” Post-Crisis Economy

Berkeley Research Group, LLC, a preeminent expert services and data analytics firm, announces it will host its first annual Forum on November 3, 2010. The Forum will be followed by a reception at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco, California. The Forum will include a panel discussion and Q & A session featuring leading experts on economics, business, and policy issues to discuss the “new normal” in the post-crisis economy. The panel will be moderated by Dr. David J. Teece, co-founder of BRG, a renowned economist and Thomas W. Tuscher Professor of Global Business at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

“The post-crisis economy is the new reality,” says Dr. Teece. “This exceptional panel that will be featured will shed light on causes, consequences, and long-term solutions to emerging international business issues.”

The distinguished Forum participants include Dr. Laura Tyson, Dr. Dwight Jaffee, and Dr. Tom Campbell.

Dr. Tyson is a special advisor to BRG and a member of President Barack Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board. She served in the Clinton Administration, was the Chair of The Council of Economic Advisers between 1993 and 1995, and was President Clinton’s National Economic Adviser between 1995 and 1996. She is a professor and former Dean at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Dr. Dwight M. Jaffee is the Willis Booth Professor of Banking, Finance, and Real Estate at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, where he has taught since 1991. He previously taught for many years in the economics department of Princeton University. Professor Jaffee is a member of the Haas School’s Finance and Real Estate groups and a co-chair of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, a UC Berkeley campus research center.

Dr. Thomas Campbell is a BRG director and professor of business and former dean for the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He is a former United States Congressman, former director of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission, and former director of finance for the State of California. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
