Teams of two to three undergraduates were tasked with acting like an expert witness, opining on case issues, and evaluating potential damages for a hypothetical company. Team members identified and used publicly available data combined with proprietary company data provided by BRG to construct supporting analyses. Teams conducted secondary research on the selected industry to provide context for the recommendation. All teams submitted a written report.
Kickoff for the competition was September 11. The top four teams were selected to present their findings to judges comprising BRG experts and William & Mary professors on September 18.
