Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) Rocky Mountain Chapter

At the RIMS Rocky Mountain Chapter November meeting, Robert Glasser presented “When Disaster Strikes: How to Navigate a Complex Business Interruption.” He reviewed pre-loss preparation, business interruption values, understanding critical extension of coverages, and potential strategies for timely settlement of a BI claim or an employee theft loss. He also discussed best practices for handling and negotiating a complex loss and how to cooperatively work through calculation differences with an insurance company’s forensic accountants.
