BRG’s Briannon Irwin and Tom Goimarac moderated a panel on “Drug Promotion from the Living Room: Navigating Interactions with HCPs and Addressing Compliance Concerns during a Pandemic.”

Ethics and compliance professionals are responsible for ensuring that  interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, even when a government-mandated lockdown is in place. This panel provided strategies and best practices to address challenges that companies face when maintaining compliance controls around virtual interactions with HCPs in the era of COVID-19. This discussion focused primarily on the following activities: conducting virtual speaker programs, advisory boards, HCP consulting arrangements, and HCP details; developing FMV rates for virtual events; and monitoring efforts related to same.
