Lessons Since the Reagan Revolution at the FTC: A 30-Year Perspective on Competition and Consumer Policies
Washington, DC
September 27, 2011
The conference featured four former Federal Trade Commission chairmen, three current commissioners, and law and economics scholars from across the United States, including David Scheffman, former director of the Bureau of Economics (the head economist at the FTC). These speakers reexamined the important changes implemented in the early 1980s, evaluated their lasting impact, and considered the insights gained for current and future FTC practices and policies.
