BRG Assisted with Risk Assessment Pursuant to Regulator-driven Look-back

January 1, 2018

BRG professionals have assisted clients with the risk assessment of hundreds of millions of transactions and tens of thousands of investigative cases pursuant to regulator-driven look-back projects. Regulators require financial institutions to undertake transaction-monitoring look-back projects upon determining that a financial institution’s suspicious activity monitoring, investigation, or reporting process has been deficient. These projects often require that a year or more of all or certain types of historical transactional data be reviewed to determine whether suspicious activity has been properly identified and reported. These projects usually result in the review of millions of transactions and filing of thousands of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
