Overview

Terry Newendorp has 40 years of experience in international investments, project/structured finance, and energy industry mergers and acquisitions. He is a globally recognized expert in structuring and financing energy investments. He has negotiated and closed oil and gas, LNG, refining, petrochemical, power (conventional and renewable), infrastructure, and industrial investments in more than 100 countries. Mr. Newendorp has advised governments, lenders, and sponsors on energy projects and has advised on the financing of over $250 billion worth of capital investments worldwide. He has also acted as advisor to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on energy security. He is a member of the boards of directors of several energy companies and equity investment funds.

Mr. Newendorp has supervised more than 275 power project financings and 150 oil and gas project investments and financings, including over 30 LNG production and regasification projects. He has received recognition awards for outstanding performance in financing complex energy deals globally. He also has extensive experience with commercial banks, capital markets, institutional sources of capital, lending policies of export credit agencies, multilaterals, and bilateral institutions.

Previously, Mr. Newendorp was chairman and CEO of an independent investment banking firm, which was ranked as a top 10 Global Financial Advisor every year from 1996 until his retirement at the end of 2014. He was the overall supervisor on 14 “Deal of the Year” transactions from 1999 until 2014.
