John Shuttleworth is an authority on strategy execution. He has led and managed complex organisational and technical change programs as both a line manager and consultant. As a coach, he has an international reputation in corporate performance management and organisational alignment programs—integrating the processes of strategy setting, business planning, budget, risk management, governance, and execution—and is a proponent of structured techniques such as balanced scorecards.
As a program manager, Mr. Shuttleworth delivers large, complex, business-driven and ICT programs across private- and public-sector organisations in the United Kingdom and internationally. Mr. Shuttleworth brings a strategic approach to multi-site, multinational, and challenging fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), finance-sector, and government environments. He has managed program budgets in excess of €50 million and multidisciplined teams of up to 60 professional staff comprising in-house product specialists, legal, finance, logistics, and ICT staff—working alongside teams of external consultants.
Mr. Shuttleworth’s experience includes process management, human resources, product management, and ICT. He has led business improvement initiatives addressing quality process improvement and certification, logistics and warehousing, CRM, sales and operations planning, e-commerce and sales process automation, multinational ICT projects, divestments, ICT outsourcing, and a global "value-creation" program. As owner of a strategic global value-creation program, Mr. Shuttleworth co-developed the approach to strategy execution that is known as “Strategic Conversations.”
