Dan Brandt specializes in providing financial restructuring advisory services and crisis management. He has advised various constituencies, including acting as financial advisor to companies in troubled situations or bankruptcy and advising lenders in turnaround situations.
Mr. Brandt’s turnaround advisory assignments have included strategic planning, cash-flow forecasting and cash management, business plan preparation and analysis, facility rationalization, and going concern and liquidation valuation analyses.
Before joining BRG, Mr. Brandt advised the Community Preservation Corporation, which provides construction and permanent financing for the development of multifamily housing, and its board through its restructuring, and he was subsequently recruited by the CEO to join the company as chief financial officer and executive vice president for Risk Management. He served in this role for two years, during which he finalized resolution of the troubled asset portfolio, renegotiated and upsized the credit facility, improved liquidity and cash flow from operations, restored market/lender confidence, and designed and instituted a formal Enterprise Risk Management framework.
Mr. Brandt was also previously an executive director at Capstone Advisory Group, LLC. Prior to joining Capstone, he was a senior managing director at the Policano & Manzo legacy practice of FTI Consulting. Before joining Policano & Manzo in 1997, he was an associate vice president in the Corporate Finance group with Sotheby’s. He was also a member of the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche’s New York office.
