Overview

Christos Pitelis is Professor of Sustainable Global Business, head of the Strategy and International Management Group, and director at the Centre for International Business and Management (CIBAM), School of Management, University of Bath. He is also a Life Fellow of Queens’ College, University of Cambridge and part-time professor in economics at the University of Athens.

Dr. Pitelis’ research and consulting interests and experience include international business and strategic management; foreign direct investment and cluster policies; antitrust, industrial, innovation, competitiveness, and catching-up policies; and corporate, public, and supranational entrepreneurship and governance.

As part of a wider portfolio of international consulting projects, Dr. Pitelis has served as a consultant for the Decentralization Strategy Activity Project (USAID) in Ethiopia and the Commonwealth Secretariat in Barbados, and as international expect on cluster diagnosis for the European Commission. He has advised many other governments, international organizations, and businesses worldwide.
