Berkeley Research Group, LLC and its affiliates (collectively “BRG,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provide this website privacy notice to describe how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process the personal data of individuals who visit our website, www.thinkbrg.com, and any other sites that link to this website privacy notice (“Site”) or through other interactions with BRG.

Information We Collect

When you use the Site, you may provide us with information such as your first and last name, address, email address, phone number, job title, company or organization name, content you post in your resume or CV, and any other information you choose to provide to us. We may collect this information for online recruiting purposes, subscriptions to publications, event registration, or when you choose to contact us. We also collect business contact information during events and other business engagements.

We collect information relating to your interactions with us and the Site, such as your internet service provider, IP address, user language, operating system, browser type, presence of “flash” plugins, screen resolution, connection type, and information that identifies cookies. Cookies are small bits of data cached or stored on your computer based on internet activity. Retention

BRG will retain your information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy (i.e., for the length of your engagement with BRG or length of time you consent to receive communications), or as needed to provide services to you. After such time lapses, BRG will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your information to comply with applicable tax/revenue laws), resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and as otherwise described in this policy.

Transfers of Personal Data

Please be aware that the personal data we collect may be transferred to and maintained on servers or databases located outside your state, province, country, or other jurisdiction, where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your location. If you are located outside of the United States, please be advised that we process and store personal data in the United States.

EU/US Data Privacy Framework

BRG, including its subsidiaries and affiliates in the US, complies with the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-US DPF as set forth by the US Department of Commerce. BRG has certified to the US Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU–US DPF Principles with regard to the processing of Personal Information received from the European Union in reliance on the EU–US DPF and from the United Kingdom (and Gibraltar) in reliance on the UK Extension to the EU–US DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU–US DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. Third-Party Links and Tools

The Site may link to websites maintained by third-party organizations, including our clients.

We may also allow you to connect and share information with certain social networking platforms (“Social Networking Platforms”) (e.g., a Facebook application). By choosing to use these Social Networking Platforms, you allow BRG to share information with the Social Networking Platform. For example, you might use an application to publish BRG related notices on your Facebook wall. If you do not want us to continue to provide your information to the Social Networking Platform, you may change your privacy settings in the Social Networking Platform.

You can also access certain features of the Site using Social Networking Platforms. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal data with us such as your name, email address, and other personal data to pre-populate an application.

We do not control the privacy practices of third-party websites including Social Networking Platforms and sign-in services that you choose to use, and this website privacy notice does not cover their practices.
