Dr. Robert Scherf applies economic theory and data analysis to support clients in antitrust proceedings regarding agreements, abuses of dominance, merger reviews and regulatory matters.

Dr. Robert Scherf has extensive experience working on economic expert reports assessing market definition, market power, competitive effects and damages in antitrust proceedings. He has advised clients on stand-alone and follow-on competition litigation before courts in the UK, US and Germany. He works across a broad range of industries including pharmaceuticals, online platforms, telecommunications and automobiles, as well as government regulators.

Before joining BRG, Dr. Scherf worked as an economic consultant at a global consulting firm and as a research associate at Harvard Business School. He holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Bonn and a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge. Dr. Scherf has native fluency in German and is proficient in Spanish.
